This project involved the creation of daily cover graphics for ETHNews, a blockchain focused news organization operating within a rapidly evolving and technically complex ecosystem. As the sole designer on the news team, I produced hundreds of graphics each month in direct support of four in house writers, developing a visual system capable of sustaining speed, consistency, and clarity across continuous publishing cycles.
All graphics were developed within a constrained color system anchored by ETHNews’s signature purple palette. Maintaining visual continuity was essential for brand recognition in a fast moving news environment. Within these constraints, I explored composition, illustration, typography, and symbolic imagery to ensure each article felt distinct while remaining cohesive within the larger visual language.
In addition to daily coverage, I created graphics for major industry events such as Devcon 3 and Devcon 4, as well as for ETHNews subsidiary publications including Distributed Digest, Daily Byte, The Comment, and The Daily Brief. These extensions required adapting the core visual system to different editorial voices while preserving consistency and credibility across platforms.
The design approach emphasized immediacy and accessibility. Because blockchain topics often involve abstract and highly technical concepts, visuals functioned as entry points rather than decoration, helping readers orient themselves quickly before engaging with written content. This body of work positions daily news graphics as applied systems design, demonstrating how graphic design can operate as a critical communicative layer within contemporary information ecosystems.
