This project explored Coursera’s C shaped conduit as a foundational visual element within its social media design system. As one of the brand’s most recognizable forms, the conduit functions as both structure and signal, immediately situating the viewer within Coursera’s visual language. The objective of this work was to lean into that recognizability while reimagining how the form could express energy, progress, and forward motion.
Working closely within Coursera’s established brand guidelines, I relied heavily on the blue palette provided, treating color not as a limitation but as a constant against which variation could occur. Through experimentation with scale, repetition, layering, and directional composition, the C shape was activated as a dynamic conduit rather than a static frame. These adjustments allowed the design to feel more lively and contemporary while preserving brand equity.
This work positions brand systems as living structures capable of evolution through motion and composition. By reactivating a familiar form, the project demonstrates how visual consistency and experimentation can coexist, allowing a brand to communicate momentum and growth without sacrificing clarity or recognition.
